Motorvliegclub Brasschaat - MVCB VZW

Learn to fly

At the Aeroclub, we offer PPL, LAPL and ULM training.

PPL and LAPL* TRAINING

You will need to follow a theoretical course of 120 hours, spread out over 6 months: two blocks of three hours a week. In this course the following subjects are treated: meteorology, operational procedures, navigation, technical knowledge, radio communication, aviation medicine and psychology, aviation rules and aircraft performance.

Upon completion of this course, you’ll need to pass a written exam at the Belgian Aviation Authorities.

Concurrently or later you can start your practical flight training. On average this takes between 1 and 2 years to complete.

You can start flight training immediately, but before your first solo flight you’ll need to pass a physical examination. Contact information of the physicians who can perform this examination can be found on the following website: ( www.amabel.be )
(LAPL*: this training will be offered once EASA has been implemented).

ULM TRAINING

In order to gain a ULM license you will also need to follow theoretical and practical flight training and to pass the necessary exams.
